Here are some pictures from the Political Bodies show that my Covering The Carpet series was in from 10th-17th February at Galleria Cavour in Padova, Italy. The show was curated by Silvia Gentili and Dionysis Livanis, and supported by CIDP.
Political Bodies presents a group of emerging artists who have placed the human body central into their practice, either as a physical entity or as a metaphor. The exhibition presents different bodies of work that explore contemporary issues around identity and representation, sexuality and gender, society and media.
In these works the body is both the subject and the medium allowing the artists discuss intimate as well as broader cultural concerns.

The images were all rejected from the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize and/or Portrait of Britain.

I'm taking part in Photography on a Postcard (ran by Art on Postcard) again this year with a couple of self-portraits that I shot last summer in Portugal.
They'll be on show (along with 473 other postcards) at Photo London and each is available as an edition of 1 to raise money for The Hepatitis C Trust. Photo London is on until 20th May.
Let me know if you manage to spot them!
