The main thought behind our trip to Paris was that Feist was playing there. She is playing 3 dates in London but I can't do any of them so as we haven't been away much this year we thought we would do this little trip.
I bought the tickets on a pre-sale and last time I saw her I was sat at the back of the venue as I was so broke, though I wished that I had just paid more and sat closer. This time I got the best tickets, but they were unassigned seats.
We decided to get there early-ish as we assumed that the earlier you were, the better the seats would be. This didn't seem to be the case though. I'm not sure if people bought theirs from somewhere else that offered them better seats, or if the random seats started from our row (5). Maybe they wanted the people who got there earliest to be sat further back as they were worried for Feist's safety...
People arrived later and got sat closer than us so I was a little peeved but eventually got over it... ish. I brought it up about 20 times.
Feist was good, though having seen Devendra the night before it was hard not to compare them. Feist's voice is amazing though. If I could sing like anyone it would be her, mixed with Neko Case's voice and a bit of Emily Haines.
So we had a good time and there was no support which was good as I was tired and the venue was beautiful.
The only annoying thing was the guy stood in front of us who filmed EVERY song - see the bit of light on the bottom left of the picture. After we all stood up at one point he kept leaning back as far as possible to film, which was right back into me and T, so he ruined it a little. A great night though otherwise!
