Updating on last time it looks like the 'visual arters' amongst the UKYA-ers are heading to Thessaloniki, Greece in October. At the end of the day I don't think it matters which country we head to its just going to be a great experience meeting a lot of other young creative people from many different countries.
The venue for my work in Guernsey has been confirmed. It's going to be: 11 Commercial Arcade, St Peter Port. The festival opens on the 1st June so its not far away now, I'm looking forward to having time to go over and see all the many exhibitions - I'm especially excited for Samuel Fosso's talk.

So the other week I went to Nottingham to meet up with the other UKYA-ers who are going to Morocco. Due to the circumstances in Libya it might be moved so we're waiting to find out if it remains the same or if we are going somewhere else. Everyone who took part in UKYA were invited to take part in being given 48 hours to respond to someone elses work which would be sent to them. You can see the result here.
Also some of my R.O.Y.G.B.I.V pictures were chosen for Issue #46 of F-Stop Magazine.

14th February 2011
Have finally got round to uploading One Is Not Like The Other. I finished the project around October and have been sat on it since then. It's the project I've made in response to the theme of 'identity' which was given to me by the Guernsey Photography Festival and which they funded. I realise that identity is one of the main themes within my work anyways so it was great to make the project for them. I am excited to show it in June 2011 along with Reality of Youth Going Backwards in Vain at the festival.
28th January 2011

11th November 2010
Moved to London on Halloween so been busy getting my life in order and working on/continuing with new projects.
Couple of things have come up since I've been here. Firstly I made the finalist list for the 'art & photography' category in Creative Works 2011, which is run by Aesthetica Magazine. The photograph that made it was 'Who?' (first image from R.O.Y.G.B.I.V) and you'll be able to see it along with the other finalists from my category, fiction and poetry too in the Annual that comes out in December.
& also I was sent some questions a couple of months ago from Eye Magazine to do with the course I recently graduated from (Photographic Art at University of Wales, Newport). The article wrote about my university course is in the latest issue of the magazine - Autumn 2010 (77) - which is accompanied by a few pictures from graduates including 'What?' from R.O.Y.G.B.I.V & there's also a blog post on their website with some of the q&a's.
30th October 2010
A while ago Russian magazine F5 contacted me about showing my R.O.YG.B.I.V project and giving them 5 interesting facts about myself. Gina from the magazine was kind enough to send me an image of the spread:

and I'll hopefully be receiving my copy soon.
Also you can check out Cut Click's photography special for a couple of images by myself (one which isn't on this website) and also a fellow graduate from my university David Taylor is tucked in there as well.
26th October 2010
Recently (couple of days ago) I attended UK Young Artists which was a great 4 day event where I got to see what artists all around the UK are up to. Saw some great visual art, music, performance, poets and dance - has really opened my eyes up to where my work can go on from here and other mediums to play with.
Very excited (and shocked) that I was one of thirteen chosen to go to Morocco. Something great to look forward to later next year and you can check out my work in Derby until the 31st at Déda along with all the other artists.

8th October 2010
From the 21st to 31st October my series 'Reality of Youth Going Backwards in Vain' (all 7 pictures) will be shown at Déda in Derby as part of UK Young Artists. Around 75 artists will be exhibiting and performing around the city. I'm there for a few days with the other artists to participate in events together which I'm looking forward to.
Also I found out today that I received an honorable mention in the The Nadar Award for Students for 'Why?' from ROYGBIV so thanks to them for that!
1st October 2010
Uploaded 'Making A Difference' photographs. They can be found under 'Selected Other Work' or: by clicking here. You can see the photographs in person at the Washington Gallery, Penarth until the 20th October. Big thanks to Carolyn Merrifield for inviting me to be involved with her project.
23rd September 2010
Edited the site a bit today. Made it that all the work is horizontal scroll. Was going to do that when I originally made the site but wasn't. However I think the images take ages to load when you click on them so seemed like the best option.
A couple of opportunities have arisen for me, but I'll write about them or put them on my exhibition&publication page once the event is closer and the other has happened.
Will be uploading a couple of new projects within the next few weeks.
7th September 2010
My copy of Photo+ arrived today. Its a beautiful magazine with lots of great work so I feel privileged to be included in the current issue! (terrible pictures of the magazine but you get the jist.)

Also going to Liverpool/Manchester tomorrow for a couple of days to go see the New Pornographers (great band!) with my Jazz Cakes cronies. They're working on a new project called 100 Postcards so check that out to get involved!

One of my new projects is well underway which is exciting and hoping it will be complete within a month or two (working title: One is Not Like The Other.) Also looking forward to uploading my photographs from 'Making A Difference' to the site as once the show is up I can reveal them.
Also was interviewed about my ROYGBIV project by Photo+ Magazine (photography zine in Korea) so excited for that to come out in September/October though I'm guessing I won't be able to read it as my Korean translation skills are severely lacking. Though will probably post the questions and answers on my blog.
7th August 2010
Exhibition with Carolyn Merrifield at Washington Gallery, Penarth. Starting working with Carolyn in March whilst doing my last year at uni. Together we went and met people who had made a difference to Wales, whilst I photographed them and she later painted them from the images. Those we visited included Rhodri Morgan, Stifyn Parri, Saleem Kidwai OBE, Judith Hall & Jane Davidson AM.
Opening is on 1st October between 7-9pm or check it out between 28th September and 20th October!
Also I have also been selected to show in The Big Fuss' exhibit [Sixteen] at the Old Library in Cardiff. Work goes up this week and show starts on Saturday 14th and ends on the 29th which is a Sunday. Facebook event.
Today I finished my contribution for the Birmingham Zine Festival's Mail Art Exhibition. For my postcard I made a photographic collage - first one I've ever made but quite want to make others now. Check the festival out if you can!
& Booooooom blogged five of my photos this week which was awesome! Hi if you're visiting from there.
22d July 2010
Added a few new pictures to site in: Instax Polaroids, Portraiture & Sarah Williams.
Currently working on two new projects which both look at the theme of identity - hopefully one will be strong enough for the Guernsey Photography Festival commission.
Also check out a very short film (little over a minute) that Sarah Williams did a couple of weeks ago. First time I've ever shot video but maybe it will be something that I can explore more in the future: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUBK8ucvjRU. (Check out her animations whilst you're there too!)
AND its the Foto8 Summer Show tomorrow. So tripping to London early to see some shows - Wolfgang Tillmans, Sally Mann & Camille Silvy I'm thinking (also 'Exposed: Voyeurism, Surveillance and the Camera' if my wallet and watch allow me to).
15th July 2010

I have 'Why?' from Reality of Youth Going Backwards in Vain showing at the Foto8 Summer Show which opens on 26th July at the HOST Gallery in London.
